Prefects’ oath-taking ceremony was held at Government Queen Mary Graduate College
Lahore on Date. The event was a significant moment for the school as it marked the
official induction of the new prefects into their roles of responsibility and leadership.
The event commenced with a warm welcome of Principal Queen Mary by the Section
Heads, School Staff, and Perfects.
After the recitation of Holly Quran Head girls were announced, followed by the oath taking
in which each prefect stood on their seats facing towards head girls on the stage and
solemnly pledged to uphold the values of integrity, responsibility, and service to their fellow
students. The oath symbolized their commitment to serving the school with dedication and
honour.
After taking the oath, the prefects were presented with their official sashes and badges by
the principal and section heads , signifying their authority and role within the school
community.
The ceremony ends with a group photo and an inspiring speech from Principal QMC ,
encouraging the prefects to lead by example, support their peers, and contribute positively
to school life.
“Greening Our Campus: Tree Planting for a Sustainable Future”
The tree planting activity was held at Queen Mary Graduate College Lahore with an aim to enhance the environmental sustainability of our institution and create a greener, more vibrant school environment. With the participation of students, faculty, and staff from the Senior School Section, Junior School Section, Cambridge Section, Junior Cambridge Section, we planted a variety of native trees in designated areas across the campus.
The main objective of this initiative was to improve air quality and promote a sense of environmental stewardship among the campus community. Additionally, the project aimed to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The tree planting activity took place over a span of two days. Participants gathered at the predetermined planting sites. Each participant was provided with the necessary tools, including shovels and gloves, to ensure safe and effective planting. Expert arborists and horticulturists were present to guide and supervise the planting process.
