The 3rd HED Sports Events 2024 in Lahore featured an exciting women’s basketball tournament on December 3, 2024, hosted by Government Queen Mary Graduate College. The host college emerged as champions, with Government Jinnah Graduate College securing second place and Government Graduate College for Women, Samanabad, taking third.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Waqas Ahmed Shahbaz, Deputy Director (Budget and Planning), who presented certificates and trophies to the winning teams. The occasion was further enriched by the participation of distinguished guests, including Prof. Zabi un Nisa, Madam Gulshan, Madam Shazia, Dr. Qamar un Nisa, Madam Rashida, Madam Sehenaz Asif and Dr. Badar Mohy-ud-Din Secretary of the Divisional Sports Committee Lahore. Prof. Dr. Sidra Aamir, Principal of Govt. Queen Mary Graduate College, presented a shield to Mr. Shahbaz. He praised the players for their dedication and congratulated the organizers on a successful event. This tournament exemplified the essence of teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship, providing a strong platform for future athletes to thrive.
