A workshop was conducted by Department of Home Economics on the topic of Calligraphy
Calligraphy is a visual art related to writing. It is the design and execution of lettering with pen and ink brush. Arabic calligraphy is known and appreciated for the diversity and great potential. Moreover, Arabic calligraphy play a vital role in safeguarding the doctrine of Islamic teachings.
Ms. Rida Fatima was the resource person. She is a textile designer. She has done her BS Honors Home Economics (Textile and Clothing) from University of the Punjab, Lahore. She is passionate about Calligraphy and has used this passion in a professional way by starting her online business (instagram account “Its.razaq”).
Students have learnt patience, team work and hand-eye coordination. It has also helped them in increasing motor development and mental health. Students have enjoyed a lot and learnt sense of colors.
