GENERAL ADMISSION RULES AND REGULATIONS
- All Degree Program is granted on merit in accordance with the rules and regulations and policy of the Higher Education Department, Government of the Punjab.
- Application for admission will be received within specified period of time as advertised in the newspaper.
- Candidates seeking admission to Govt. Queen Mary Graduate College, Lahore should apply on prescribed forms. These forms can be obtained from the Main Branch Bank of Punjab, Egerton Road, Lahore.
- Please Read All Instruction Carefully
- BBA/BSCS/BS 4 Years Degree Programme is a four years programme of full-time study.
- Students securing 3rd Division in Intermediate Examination are not eligible to apply.
- Duration on of the Programme:Eight (8) Semesters, four (4) Years, 130 Credit Hours
Eligibility Criteria for BSCS
- At least 76% Marks
- Intermediate with Mathematics and Physics. ”OR”
- Intermediate with Mathematics and Computer Science. ”OR”
- Intermediate with Mathematics and Statistics. ”OR”
- Note: Students with F. Sc Pre-Medical are eligible to apply provided they clear deficiency courses offered in 1st and 2nd Semesters.
Eligibility Criteria for BBA
- Intermediate or equivalent Examination
- Students securing 3rd Division in Intermediate Examination are not eligible to apply in BBA
Additional Marks
- Hafiz-e-Quran 20 marks
- I.Com Students 40 marks
- Candidates who have studied Mathematics, Statistics and Economics as elective subjective in Intermediate will be given 20 marks for each subject. However, maximum 40 marks can be allotted in this regard.

- 1:-Three attested photo copies of matriculation result (Note: Internet result card will not be accepted)
- 2:-Three attested photo copies of Intermediate (F. A /F. Sc/ICS/ I.Com./G. Sc) (Note: Internet result card will not be accepted)
- 3:-Three attested photo copies of character certificate from the Head of the Institute last attended.
- 4:-Three attested photo copies of the National Identity Card of father/guardian.
- 5:-Three attested photo copies of B-form/ National Identity Card / Smart card of candidates
- 6:-The maximum age limit for the candidates seeking admission to BBA/BSCS/BS 4 Years Degree Programme (Semester-I) is 24 Years on the date of receipt of forms.
- Note:
- 1. The selected candidates are required to bring all the original documents and three passport-size photographs with a blue background at the time of admission to the BBA/BSCS/BS 4 Years Degree Programme.
- 2. Provision of Health form is compulsory for selected students without its submission the roll number will not be issued.
- The former students of the college who were found guilty of misconduct & indiscipline in Intermediate will not be considered for admission.
- If the applicant, after her selection, fails to deposit fee/dues within specified time her admission will be cancelled.
- Admission to BBA/BSCS/BS 4 Years Degree Programme will be granted on Open Merit.
- Candidate holding 3rd division in terminal degree is not eligible to apply.
- Duration of the Programme: Two (2) Years, Annual Programme
Eligibility Criteria for Associate Degree in Science (2 Years Programme)
- Only those subjects can be applied for Associate Degree in Science (2 Year Programme) which the students have studied at Intermediate level.
- For non-medical category the students must have scored at least 60% marks in Maths in Intermediate Examinations.
- Those students opting for General Science who have not studied Math/Stats/Economics at Intermediate level will not be allowed to opt for these subjects at Degree level.
- In case a new subject is taken up, the student must pass that subject in the December Examination.
- Students who have qualified F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) can opt for Associate Degree in Science (2 Year Programme) but they cannot opt for Maths.
- Students who have passed Intermediate Mathematics securing 60% marks are eligible for studying Mathematics in Associate Degree in Science /Arts (2 Years Programme)
- Commerce students are not eligible for Associate Degree in Science (2 Years Programme) with Mathematics.
- Note:
- In case of subject change, single subject will not be changed. However, student can opt another combination according to her merit and previously studied subjects within the time limit given by the college.
Courses of Study for Associate Degree in Science (2 Years Programme)
- Students will have to study three Compulsory, two Elective and one optional subject.
- Compulsory subjects are English, Pakistan Studies and lslamiyat (Ethics for Non-Muslims).
- There will be no other practical subject with Fine Arts.
- Optional Subjects are Persian/ lslamiyat and Arabic. These subjects will be offered in Associate Degree Programme Part-II.
- Only that Optional Subject should be selected which is not taken as an elective subject.
Guidelines for Subject Selection
- Students will opt for any one combination for Elective Subjects, given in the prospectus.
- Due to limited seats in the subject of Fine Arts, preference will be given to old Queen Marians who have studied the subject of Fine Arts at Intermediate level.
- Students who wish to study Fine Arts and English (Elective) are required to qualify an aptitude test in these subjects according to the date advertised in the newspaper by the College.
- Students opting for Economics or Psychology must have studied these subjects at Intermediate level.
- Those students who have done F.Sc. (Pre-Med., Pre-Eng. can apply for Economics and Psychology, but they have to qualify for the respective subjects after admission in the December Examinations.
- Change of subjects will depend on the merit and availability of seats.
- All the students of Associate Degree in Science (2 Years Programme) will study 2 Compulsory and 3 Elective Subjects.

The BS 5th semester to 8th semester Programme is designed to accommodate BA/BSc/ ADP Arts/ Science/ Commerce (Associate Degree Programmes) and BS (Exit degree holder). These students will complete their remaining two years of BS degree in the relevant department of studies and University of the Punjab will issue the degree of BS.

Admission Guidelines
- Candidates seeking admission to 5th semester will have to follow all the rules and regulations given in the College Prospectus.
- Candidate must get registered with University of The Punjab. The College will not be responsible for it.
- Candidate will have to fulfil all the requirements stipulated by University of The Punjab to get promoted to next semester.
- If the applicant, after her selection, fails to deposit fee/dues within specified time her admission will be cancelled.
- Note:
- In case any candidate who is found at any time to have obtained admission by making any mis-statement in the Admission Forms or by willful concealment of any material fact, (particularly about marks, division, previous admission/expulsion, etc., and fails to fulfill the eligibility criteria, her admission shall stand as cancelled and all fees or other dues paid by her shall be forfeited.
Eligibility for BS 5th Semester
- Candidate should have her National ID Card.
- The candidates should have B.A/B.Sc./ADP (Arts/Science/Commerce) with at least second division.
- Candidates should not be more than 26 years of age.
- Candidate holding 3rd division in terminal degree is not eligible to apply.
- Two marks will be deducted from percent academic marks for each late session to a maximum of previous five sessions/years. Such applicants must submit affidavit to the effect that she did not get admission in any institution in the period intervening between the year of passing the examination and the year of application for admission.
- Open merit (No distinction of old Queen Marian)
- Not less than 45% Marks in the elected subject.

ADMISSION RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Admission to F.A/ F.Sc/ ICS/ G.Sc/ I.Com/ Home Intermediate ( 2 years Programme) is granted on merit in accordance with the rules and regulations and policy of the Lahore board and Higher Education Department, Government of the Punjab.
- Application for admission will be received within specified period of time as advertised in the newspaper.
- Candidates seeking admission to Govt. Queen Mary Graduate College, Lahore should apply on prescribed forms. These forms can be obtained from the Main Branch Bank of Punjab, Egerton Road, Lahore.
- Admission to Arts classes will not be granted on the Science form and vice versa. To avoid disappointment, candidates should apply both on Science and Arts forms separately.
- If the applicant, after her selection, fails to deposit fee/dues within specified time her admission will be cancelled.
- The candidate will star (concessional marks) in subjects, though on merit, will have to fulfill the condition of clearing a test conducted by the college in the star subjects. The test will be allowed only in one subject and the candidate will not be allowed to choose the same as elective subject.
- The maximum age limit for the candidates seeking admission in F. A/ F. Sc/ ICS/ G. Sc/ I. Com/ Home Economics Intermediate (2 years Programme) is 20 Years on the date of receipt of forms
- An affidavit shall have to be attached to this effect that the candidate has not taken admission in any Institution /College.
- Reserved Seats
- According to the Admission Policy/ Rules announced by the Government, 2% seats will be reserved for the following categories: • Sports (Arts)
- Disability (Candidates suffering from some minor disability will not be considered eligible for admission on the quota for the disabled. • Minorities
- Note: Admission to any Class under these categories is subject to policy/rules announced by the Government

EVENING SHIFT CLASSES
Rules and Regulations:
All rules and regulations applicable to the Morning Shift students, will apply to the Evening Shift students. Moreover, the following rules should also be observed with addition to these following rules given below.
- No fee concession will be granted to Evening Shift students as it is a self-supporting
- Students granted admission to the Evening Shift classes will not be allowed to change to the Morning Shift classes. Moreover, they will have to sign an undertaking in this respect otherwise their admission may be
